Successful Project Management Training Finished Successfully in Shanghai

The public project management course aimed to improve the project management efficiency and becoming a more agile organization. Candidates not only came from Shanghai and surrounding areas, focusing on solving project management issues especially in the manufacturing sector. The training uses the world’s best practice from PMBOK and PRINCE2 principles, where PMBOK is the standard from U.S. Project Management Institute, while the PRINCE2 is the UK government’s mandatory project management standard for all public works. The combination of both standards ensure that the optimum approach is used to get the best project management practice for the project.

The training focusing on the practical aspect of the project management to aid the students to familiar with the subject, the training covered a range of project management issues that includes:
  • Defining a project plan to ensure that it covers the successful delivery of the project and the stakeholder’s satisfaction.
  • Using the 6 step process to deploy and execute the project.
  • Develop a project risk management plan to ensure project success.
  • Use the different project cost estimation technique to determine a good cost estimate.
  • Develop a plan and various project monitoring techniques to monitor, control and making necessary corrections.
  • Ensure that the team management is in its optimum spirit to achieve the un-achievable.

The attendees came from Chinas fortune 500 companies, as high up as the GM, VP to discuss and evaluate the training offered by Francis Hung whom shared years of experience that Mr. Hung got over the years.



The training also covers a wide range of case scenarios where students can simulate the real life applications of the skills learned during the training. This approach not only gave the students a good subject presentation, but the actual walk through of the subject matter with some practical scenarios to deal with. Competition was fierce to gain the top honor among various groups to maximize their score during the training practice.

About the trainer

The training was conducted by Francis Hung, a bilingual Canadian Chinese in fluent English and Chinese. He is specialized in project management research and purchasing management training. He is a certified trainer for PMIs PMP training, as well as UK Cabinet Offices PRINCE2 trainer and examiner. He is also certified for Cabinet Offices P3O in Portfolio, Program and Project Office management, ITIL IT Information Library Service Management; European Institute of Purchasing Management. He has many years of large multi-national company experience working across different industry sectors. He is among the first group to start up the first Research and Development Center for a large multi-national in China; as well as serving as the senior VP for a listed company in Hong Kong.
